—————-
Famous for its effect on Vincent van Gogh and his paintings, the Mistral is an intense wind that normally blows at around 100 kilometres per hour, reaching up to 140 at moments of
greatest intensity. Caused by an area of low pressure in the Gulf of Genoa, it is a strong cold northwesterly wind that blows into the Gulf of Lion in France, the country where it is
especially felt. In the areas where it blows the strongest, its effects can be seen in many different elements, from the erosion of the landscape to farming methods. The communities
who feel its effects try to adapt to its powerful strength, often without success.

Wind (Viento)

Presentada por | Presented by: Martin Putz

silbidos, rugidos, chirridos, pitidos.
——————-
A meteorological phenomenon able to move mountains of sand and to modify the geology of the landscape with the slowness and patience of centuries and millenniums. A mighty force
able to destroy homes, knock down trees and overturn huge vessels. Something that helps or resists us, depending on whether it blows in favour or against. A world of different
whistling, roaring, howling, shrieking sounds. A clean endless source of energy. A subject for research and study, a god, Aeolus, an enraged force of nature. Countless different visions,
details, viewpoints, possibilities; a mythical past, a scientific future: the wind.
