Mónica dejó su pueblo en una zona rural española hace muchos años. Sus intereses artísticos y una complicada relación con su familia la empujaron a marcharse al otro lado del Atlántico. Un día recibe una llamada de teléfono. Su padre, con el que no tiene ninguna relación, ha caído enfermo y está a punto de morir. Esta circunstancia la obliga a reencontrarse con el pequeño pueblo de su infancia, con sus familiares y con la maravilla de unos paisajes naturales en los que el clima define emociones, trabajo y vida en común. El reencuentro con el lugar de su niñez le permite ver que aquello que un día dejó atrás tiene
una singular belleza, y que las relaciones que un día rechazó, quizá no eran tan turbias como pensaba.

Many years ago Monica left her tiny village in rural Spain. Her artistic interests and a complicated relationship with her family led her to leave for the other side of the Atlantic. One day she gets a phone call telling her that her father, with whom she has no relationship, is seriously ill and about to die. This forces her to return home, where she meets her family again and rediscovers the wonderful natural landscape whose climate shapes the emotions, work and life of its inhabitants. This reencounter with the place of h r childhood makes her see that the thing she left behind has a unique beauty, and that the relationships that she
used to reject are perhaps not as bad as she once used to think.
