Cine familiar: El globo rojo - XI MCL

Una mañana, de camino al colegio, el joven Pascal encuentra un extraordinario globo rojo en lo alto de una farola. Tras subirse a ella consigue cogerlo y llevárselo a la escuela. Pronto descubre que no se trata de un objeto inanimado, sino que tiene vida propia y ha decido quedarse con él tanto tiempo como pueda. El niño camina entonces por las calles de París acompañado de su nuevo amigo, entra a hacer compras y finalmente se lo lleva a casa al terminar el día; sin embargo, su abuela le obliga a dejarlo fuera. A la mañana siguiente todo comienza de nuevo y la amistad entre el niño y el globo se reanuda hasta que, llenos de envidia, las pandillas del barrio intentan arrebatárselo.

One morning on his way to school, Pascal finds an extraordinary red balloon caught in a lamppost. After climbing up to get it he takes it with him to school. He soon discovers that it has a mind of its own and has decided to follow him wherever he goes. Pascal walks around the streets of Paris accompanied by his new friend, who goes into shops with him and at the end of the day goes home with him; however, his grandmother forces him to leave it outside. The following morning, it all starts over again and Pascal takes up his friendship with the balloon again, until, jealous of the balloon, a gang of boys from the neighbourhood try to steal it from him.
